The Hummingbird is is molded from Pellucida, our proprietary resin compound that resembles bisque porcelain but is more durable. It is delicately airbrushed here in the Studio. The hummingbirds wingspan is about 5 inches. Including the select polished burlwood base the piece stands about 7 inches tall. PLEASE NOTE: these photos are of samples for illustration. Each burl base is a unique piece of nature’s art and the one you will receive will be different but of equal size and comparable beauty. It is SIGNED and comes with a CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY.
- It is suspended by its tongue from the flower, such that is moves with the slightest touch.
- The base is a polished manzanita burl, responsibly harvested only from private lands where needed for fire protection brush clearance.
