Chris’ radio career began the week before Live Aid in 1985 and has been going ever since. Starting in the early days of Red Dragon Radio it was weekend overnights to learn the ropes and then long stints on the breakfast, mid-morning and drivetime shows. He was also Head Of Music and Deputy Programme Controller for Red Dragon and its sister station Touch Radio. In 1996 he moved across to Touch as Head Of Presentation and was part of the team that made Touch one of the UK’s most successful AM stations with nearly 200,000 listeners a week in the late 90s. He then moved onto the mid-morning show with Capital Gold when it started in the summer of 1998.
After leaving there on Christmas Eve 1999 he was asked by John Myers to be part of his launch team at Real Radio. Real was a huge success, recording the highest launch figures for a regional radio station and changed the South Wales radio landscape. Chris was Head Of Presentation and presented the mid-morning show from launch. For a decade he was consistently the most listened to commercial radio presenter in Wales with 250,000 listeners daily.
He moved to the BBC in 2011 and produced and presented many different shows for Radio Wales.
More recently he was involved with an online station, Retro Sound and has also presented shows for Bro Radio, the local radio station for Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan.
