Joseph Ledford

From student radio to nine years of Minnesota mornings, Joseph Ledford now voice tracks classic rock and Christian radio from his home studio in Ohio.

Joseph Ledford's radio career began in the early 1990s at a ten-watt, student-run station at his Christian high school in Ohio, where he worked his way up from a regular shift to station manager. After studying media communications at Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky, he landed an overnight production role with Salem Broadcasting in Cleveland, followed by a short stint reporting news for WKLM.

Joe later stepped away from radio for spells in television production and print journalism before broadcast school and an internship brought him back, this time at WNCX, Cleveland's big classic rock station. Five years as a producer there led to his own morning show in Minnesota, where he spent nine years on air.

Family drew Joe and his wife back home to Ohio, where he now voice tracks for WKLM, the very station where his radio career first took off, from his home studio. A self-confessed jack of all trades musically, Joe brings decades of on-air experience and a genuine love of the format to every session.

"Once radio gets in your blood, it’s never gone."
